Celebrate the 2010 Olympics with us!
Admission By Donation - February 1st to March 21st

In celebration of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, admission to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre will be by donation from February 1st to March 21st, 2010.  Located in Whistler's Upper Village across from the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, the Centre will be open from 9:30am - 5:00pm daily with the exception of Feb 13th, 19th and 22nd as we will be closed for private event.
Cultural Performances
Admission to the performances is included in the entry donation to the Centre. Details on performances can be found at: www.slcc.ca/whistler-2010/cultural-performances

We will host a large collection of some of the leading First Nations artists from Squamish, Lil'wat and other Northwest Coastal Aboriginal Nations.

Carvers Aaron Nelson-Moody - Squamish Nation and Delmar Williams - Lil'wat Nation
Commissioned to carve four pieces in our Great Hall.  Squamish and Lil'wat Nation Artists will be at the Centre daily demonstrating their craft.

Winter Farmers Market
Held in the Istken Hall on Sunday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and will continue throughout the Olympics and Paralympics.
Hinterlands Who's Who hosts visit during Winter Olympic Games
Celebrate Canada's Wild Species and Spaces with the Canadian Wildlife Federation and Friends: join us for a family-focused event.  Meet the hosts of the popular Hinterland Who's Who wildlife education program and learn more about beavers and other wildlife species.

Woodrow: A beaver rescued and cared for by Jody Gienow, co-founder and co-director of the Muskoka Wildlife Centre

Whistler Live! is where the 2010 Winter Games come to life with an energetic fusion of sport, art and entertainment. For 27 days, Whistler's wintery pedestrian village will pulsate from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. against the spectacular backdrop of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. A diverse range of FREE and unique Whistler Live! experiences offer a dazzling taste of Whistler's iconic mountain culture.

Cheer on the athletes during CTV sport broadcasts; be moved by medals presentations; take in daily après concerts; enjoy film and photography; hear legendary tales and listen to DJs light up the nightly Fire & Ice Remix. Experience Canada's Games in the heart of Whistler Village.

Whistler Olympic Entertainment

During the Games period the entertainment throughout Whistler Village will be absolutely fantastic.  Three main stages will have live acts along with big screens broadcasting events when the entertainment is not on.  Entertainment hubs will be Celebration Plaza, Village Square and Skiers Plaza.  Here is printable version of the live entertainment schedule

wssf_nightEach day during the Winter Olympic Games share your photos to help create a community art project of a community collage of photos.  Submit your photos in one of these ways:

A. Post on Facebook at WhistlerArts

B. Tag your uploaded photos with 'wccc' and the day ie 'feb12'  - the tag would be 'wcccfeb12' - note that is 3 c's  WCCC month = 3 characters 'feb' date = 1 or 2 charcters  '5' (torch relay day), '28' (closing ceremonies).  wcccfeb12  - this is easy to do with most web photo sharing systems.
