How to Get Involved
Music hath charms to soothe the savage breast. Ditto art, performance, and the rest of the creative undertakings that fall broadly under the notion of culture.
As a 2009 Cultural Capital of Canada, Whistler wants to deliver the best cultural programs ever. To do that, we need to engage and empower people throughout our community: residents, visitors, weekenders and everyone else who considers this their special place. We wish to proclaim to the world that our town is the Cultural Capital of Canada.
Arts, culture and heritage play a vital and ever-expanding role in Whistler and we want the opportunities presented by the Cultural Capital program to leave an enduring legacy here. We want to bring the same bold determination and go-for-it mentality to arts, culture and heritage we’ve brought for years to snow sports and creating a unique Canadian success story.
Want to join us?
We need enthusiastic people of all ages, interests, skills and backgrounds to pitch in and lend a hand with the many events, festivals and celebrations scheduled throughout the year. If you’re interested in celebrating our rich and growing arts scene, there’s a role for you to play… an important role.
Please contact the Whistler Arts Council and express your interest to participate.
